CIMGUARD® 90

Water based synthetic corrosion preventive

Description
Cimguard 90 is a synthetic, water-dilutable, indoor corrosion preventative for ferrous metals. It is designed to leave a thin (not tacky or oily) film, which is easily removed by aqueous cleaners.

Application
The level of corrosion protection provided by Cimguard 90 depends on product concentration, humidity, and air temperature. Cimguard 90 can be applied in spray, dip operations, and can be used in the final rinse stage of multi-stage parts washers. Cimguard 90 recommended concentrations:
1. Final rinse after immersion or spray cleaning, 2-5%.
2. Immersion bath rust preventative after machining, up to 20%.
3. Final rinse after tumbling or de-burring operations, 2-5%.
4. Can also be added directly to de-burring and tumbling operations at concentrations of 1 - 2% to prevent “flash” rusting of parts.

Always let metal parts dry before packing and/or storage. Heating (max. 40C) the solution will decrease the drying time. Do not rinse metal parts after exposure to Cimguard 90; coating is instantaneous and final.
